Survey of British literature from its beginnings to the Renaissance up to 1600 examining the following literary periods or genres: Old English, Middle English and the English Renaissance. Writers may include Chaucer, Malory, Milton, Jonson, and Shakespeare. Writing assignmentsprimarily analyticalare based on the reading, research and discussion of literature.
