Course Description
The course will examine the history of African-Americans in the United States, tracing the African-American experience from colonial times to present-day America. Topics will include the development of the institution of slavery in America, the post-Civil War experience of African-Americans, and the struggle for civil rights and social justice in America in the 20th Century. (Multicultural Course)
